How to Prevent Sore Ankles When Ice Skating

Do you get red bumps on your ankles or feet after skating?

Sore feet after figure skating could be due to any of these reasons:

  1. Wrong size boots or skates
  2. Poorly laced
  3. Right size skate, but strained movements when jumping
  4. OR – you may just need meshed gel tubes to wrap around your ankles and shin – especially for those jump routines.

Someone did a good video here on how to protect your ankles when ice skating.

Jerry’s Figure Skating World makes excellent jel tubes for this purpose, and we are an authorized distributor of these.
